This is a stereo mixer that can handle up to 8 inputs. Every channel has a volume fader. Next to the faders there is an UnMute button (UnMute being the opposite of Mute). The UnMutes allow a smooth on/off switching of an audio input. In fact every input channel has its own ASR envelope inside. The “unmuting” can be synced to a (BPM) trigger.
The sound can be used to make nice chopped-up audio fragments. Not granular like, but real audio chopping in a nice smooth way. With the syncing to BPM you can make a nice DJ-like patch for switching between BPM linked sequences (a little bit like in the Ableton Live sequencer).
